Why is collective action important?

Throughout the years and on a global scale, collective organization and action has been a safety valve that guaranteed the improvement of working conditions and wages and consequently of life standards, effectively being a criterion of the level of freedom and democracy a country enjoys.

In a period of critical financial circumstances and dire social conditions, established labour, financial and social rights are challenged, and this situation highlights the need for collective action.

The mobilization of all the people who are active in the field of micro, small and medium enterprises is of the utmost importance, since these people represent one of the most substantial parts of the Greek economy and while they are an important source for the creation of job opportunities and wealth, they are also a social category that is extremely affected by the current situation.
