By implementing a series of actions, IME/GSEVEE’s Equality Office aims at raising female participation in decision making centres (collective bodies on all levels – Unions, Federations, representative institutions) and empowering women in positions of responsibility.

In its effort to fulfil its main purpose, IME/GSEVEE’s Equality Office provides women with the appropriate information, knowledge and support in order to deal with issues that affect their active participation in collective bodies (including subjects regarding education and training, legal matters and the issue of reconciling family and professional life).

IME/GSEVEE’s Equality Office commenced its operation in July 2012 and is expected to remain operational until the end of 2014.

Its operation is co-financed by Greece and the European Union, within the framework of the “Action Plan for the promotion of Women in the Decision-Making Centres of GSEVEE’s Collective Bodies”, which is part of the Operational Programme “Public Administration Reform 2007-2013”.
